During vacation and idle times, I get to remember the people I once was part of and the memories that came with it.
The Brat Block was not just a name for their block. It is second skin. The positive side of being a Brat came to the fore. They were already named this way before PANA started.
And when they were set to implode, they excelled. Really a wonderful memory of outstanding and diverse individuals who were the first PANA group to ever compete decently. They were trailblazers to the PANA title we have today.
And as I bumped into their friendster group just today I was surprised to see my yearbook testimonial to them.
"The Brat Block has always been the label of this seemingly roudy and outspoken bunch of future advertising practitioners. Past mentors have forewarned their antics & escapades as if one would be going through sheer dismay through a 3 hour class session w/ them. A blend of diverse personalities & characters,the block was foreseen to implode in the midst of academic & social challenges that faced them. Instead,they morphed into one endearing unit that embraced enthusiasm. The 'BRAT' reputation has truly undermined the very essence of what this block believes. The block believes in achievement,in truth,in transparency & unfortunately the art of cramming. For them,respect is something to be earned & sustained all throughout. You have to pass the Litmus test time & again to prove that you are truly worthy of their attention. A hard core believer of parties and outings,the class managed perfectly academic requirements,extra curricular activities & all the other fun items outside school. After all,this is a block that has achieved more than any other advertising batches in AC history by placing highly in the last PANA competition & has earned the nod of professors of fellow finalist universities & advertising practitioners. But the best attribute of this block is the unbreakable & unique closeness & bond that would forever hold them together through rough & smooth times when they pursue their respective paths after Assumption. A feeling that somehow all souls will look after one another & that being one has transcended being just classmates into something thicker than blood. Few have been handpicked by God to be knitted into this block to experience a truly unique 4 years. Those who are fortunate to be one of them & those that the block considers as friends & their true mentors. People say you cannot have the best of both worlds,fun & academic achievement. The brat block defied it time & again & proved that only the best breed can afford such luxury."
