The 8th Interblock, dubbed with as the biggest ever with total of six involved blocks and five blocks competing for the top prize of the juicy 1.0, ended with what could be one of the better stories ever unfolded.
3B1, 3B2, 3A1 and A2 combined, UST 3Ad8 and 3Ad6 went head to head in their campaign for fuel conservation.
3A1 went first in presenting and gave a glimpse of what is to come in the PANA finals. As 3B1 ushered in their version of fuel conservation by using an amazing presentation software! (so the judges can learn from the kids too nowadays) And through that presentation was an excellent below the line activity that showed the best side of B1 magic that has been carried on through the years - despite their differences, they found a way to mend it in time and win it all.
However, if there is something saved for the day, it was the stellar presentation of 3Ad8 of UST that became the highlight of the day. It was so good that the judges did not only give them a perfect grade, but also wanted to hire them on the spot.
They kept asking, "4th year na ba mga yan? baka pwede na namin ma hire!"
3Ad6 also had a solid campaign but much of their tech problems did them in. The SAVE 710 can hold a lot of promise but apparently time caught up with their promising campaign.
All in all, the Interblock Marketing Competition always ushered in a thought. That as much as the semester was sometimes a struggle, and no matter how many sermons I would throw at 3B1 and 3B2 and a couple of UST blocks, you know that somehow this would be the last classroom encounter we will have.
To Ad6 - sayang. Super huge potentials pero kulang lang sa practice. I always had super fun with your block as in.... stay good, stay active and stay creative. Itago niyo yung secret weapon nating parang adik magisip :)
To Ad8 - ang block na pinakagulo sa mundo dahil meron nang tito vic and joey, meron pang mang temi :)) it was always a breeze to teach you on tuesdays. Super creative and super matiyaga. At first I was surprised why you did not give way but I realized at the end why. You will always be one of the best blocks I have ever taught. Salamat!
To 3B2 - task was just too hard for a few to climb. To those who gave their hearts and soul to the program, I truly salute you for all the efforts.
To my 3A1 and A2 - we live another day to finish off what we started. October 8 is our ultimate finale - the PANA championship awaits. Just look at it this way, when 3A1 2009 won the total interblock, they placed 2nd runner up. When 3A1 2010 lost interblock, they placed 1st runner up. It seems the lower we get in Interblock means a higher result in PANA.
To all the blocks - thank you for a wonderful semester. I really had sooo much fun and good time just being in class with you. See you around campus. Stay excellent, creative and happy.
